My happy girl

Gwyneth is just so smiley (and aren't her shoes cool? Thanks Pappa). I had dreams about her while pregnant of her smiley and blonde and bouncy...and that is just how she came out. She loves to snuggle hug my mom, bounces in my sling to music and at any excitement, smiles at everyone and just always has a look of curiousity and amusement about her. She is so curious in fact that she is into everything (and swallowing bits of dried glue that choke her, turn her blue, make mom do the himlech, scratch her throat so she coughs blood, be rushed to the ER with no diaper on and then turn out fine and smiley again at the fact that they gave her mashed potatoes to coat it so she could poop it out...crazy story-hey?). But she is beautiful and I am so glad God gave is Gwyn.

My teenage acne skin at 30

I have been trying to slowly switch ALL our cosmetics and household products to more organic, paraben free, non-toxic kind of things-but, the one thing I was holding onto was my acne care. I have done it all from Benzoyl Peroxide, Salic Acid, Rentin-A, and even Accutane. Though I am not pimply anymore I guess they are still hiding under my maticulous care and product usage. I have been on the Proactiv bandwagon for years-using the cheaper version Acne Free from Target (how many brand names can I drop in one sentence?) Anyway I tryed to go organic with a very pricey product line from Juice Beauty and let me just say-zit city. It may work for some-but not my persistent acne! I had so many chin zits I wouldn't even dare put a picture here. I didn't leave without makeup, I hated leaving the house at all, and my lovely husband who usually overlooks such details as a few blemished nicely said my new products weren't really working. So, I found this Nature's Gate line that is an organic copy of Proactive with cleanser, toner and lotion. SO AWESOME and it was only $25 at my CVS next to TJs! If you are looking to switch I have tested it for you. It works and I love it. So does my chin.

My face painting skills

Look what I did! Agatha always pines over the $20 face painting masterpieces at Disneyland so I took a picture of the example last time and recreated it-glitter and all. I was quite proud and so was she-plus we didn't have to pay $20 for something that washes off or itches cause my kid has my sensitive skin. I love these face paints I found through a local chilren's museum. They are soap based, but not waxy-so they don't irratate and they don't smear. Have fun being the coolest and cheapest mom on the block. You can be your own party clown-without the nose.

Save a tree

Here is my new t-shirt that I got on the mark down today. I like it. I have been trying to reduce the number of catalogs I get everyday by using catalogchoice. It is a free little service that has an easy search feature that looks up any catalog you might get and cancels the account for you-nice. I also found a guy with a pretty easy way to cancel your penny saver. So go ahead and save a tree-cause as the penny saver guy says: be a "good human...don't blow it...good planets are hard to find."
